Media Servers - VSR1000
ThinkEngine Networks VSR1000 is an advanced call processing platform with highly integrated call treatment capabilities. The VSR1000 can provide speech recognition, advanced call routing, and conferencing service to 672 simultaneous VoIP or TDM channels.
Carrier Class Platform
The VSR1000 was designed specifically for carrier networks. The VSR1000 adheres to NEBS standards and includes carrier class features such as a dedicated management coprocessor, -48v DC power, standard telco style alarms, and SS7 signaling support. In N+1 configurations the VSR1000 can provide 99.999% service availability. The system's solid state design (no spinning media within the platform) contributes to its high reliability and ease of management. System management, including rolling upgrades, can be performed remotely.
Advanced Call & Media Processing
The VSR1000's advanced call processing model allows any VoIP or TDM call leg to be bridged or conferenced with any other call leg(s). Full control of the audio path is exposed to the controlling service. Whispers, mute, and consultation are supported on all legs. The VSR1000 is capable of routing calls to a service based on DNIS so that pools of service can be created across multiple units. Calls can either terminate or originate within the platform. In addition, the VSR1000 supports advanced media processing including 128ms echo cancellation, DTMF detection and generation, prompt playback and recording, and ANI capture.
OnWord™ - Embedded Keyword Spotting
ThinkEngine's OnWord feature continually listens on all channels within the system for the designated keyword and notifies the application whenever it is detected. The application can then offer additional services to the caller. OnWord is useful for a wide range of enhanced services such as mid-call conferencing. OnWord is a DSP based algorithm that is highly accurate with a very low occurrence (less the 0.5%) of false positive acceptance. OnWord is available on all 672 channels within the VSR under the control of the application.
CommandWord - Embedded Small Menu ASR
CommandWord is ThinkEngine's embedded small menu ASR subsystem. CommandWord can be used to create limited vocabulary speech applications. CommandWord is useful for a wide range of enhanced services such as call routing and voice driven voice mail.
Conferencing - Embedded Conferencing Bridge
The VSR1000 includes conferencing capabilities across the entire 672 channel capacity of the platform. The conference bridge is a high quality N-way, 3 active talker bridge. Larger conferences can be created by interconnecting VSR1000s.
